On September 1, the Palace Elisabeth heritage hotel on the Croatian island of Hvar opened its doors to guests. Situated in the center of the island, Palace Elisabeth sits above the city hall, overlooking Dalmatia’s main square and marina. The hotel dates to the 13th century, when it was the Duke’s palace, and is considered a historic landmark with Venetian and Austrian architectural elements.
The hotel has 45 luxury rooms and suites, providing guests with panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding city. All guest bedrooms incorporate traditional Venetian details and designs inspired by the hotel’s history, as well as classic marble countertops. Additionally, each guestroom includes Guerlain bath amenities, plush bathrobes and a complimentary minibar. Guests can also enjoy concierge services, including yacht rentals and daily excursions.
Top accommodations include the hotel’s 656-square-foot Elisabeth Suite, named after Empress "Sisi." The Elisabeth Suite is the largest guest suite and is located on the second floor of the hotel. With a central view of the harbor, this suite includes a balcony with an open seating area for guests to relax.
Guests can also enjoy relaxation at the hotel’s private luxury spa and indoor pool. Bordered by a terrace with daybeds, Palace Elisabeth’s spa offers guests an array of locally inspired signature treatments. Guests can choose from couple massages to French spa services, as well as bath and sauna experiences.
Positioned on top of Palace Elisabeth sits the hotel’s signature restaurant, San Marco. Guests can dine on locally sourced seafood and traditional Mediterranean cuisine while enjoying the island’s sweeping sea views.
