Patina Osaka Debuts in Japan

Capella Hotel Group has announced the launch of Patina Osaka in Japan, combining luxury with wellness and health technology offerings, marking a first in the country’s hospitality scene. Situated between Osaka Castle and Naniwanomiya Park, the 20-story property offers 221 rooms and suites with views facing either landmark.

Patina Osaka houses five culinary outlets, including P72, the signature restaurant, where guests embark on a journey through Japan’s 72 micro-seasons with cuisine that celebrates local purveyors and locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

The brand, it says, sets itself apart through its comprehensive wellness and health technology offerings. Spanning nearly 15,070 square feet, the Patina Spa offers hyperbaric oxygen and hydrogen therapy, cryotherapy, infrared sauna heat therapy, LED full body treatment and wellness technologies that complement traditional treatments.

The property also showcases collaborations with world-renowned talents, including Japanese artist Verdy, who serves as creative partner and contributes to an exclusive merchandise collection that celebrates the city’s culture. Sound pioneer Devon Turnbull (OJAS) has created The Listening Room by OJAS, an audiophile haven that "elevates hi-fidelity sound to high art" through custom-built speakers and a curated vinyl collection.

Each experience at Patina Osaka is designed to inspire moments of reflection. Guests can enjoy a range of tailored experiences ranging from Morning Soundscapes by OJAS to Design Immersion Tours exploring the city.

Tip: To celebrate the opening, the hotel is offering a “Patina Journey” package, offering daily breakfast, wellness therapies and exclusive experiences at The Listening Room by OJAS or Nijiri Tea Lounge, and a range of amenities.
