The Peninsula Istanbul, the newest addition to The Peninsula Hotels’ portfolio, is accepting reservations ahead of its opening on February 14, 2023. The hotel overlooks the Bosphorus and spans four buildings, three of which are protected historical landmarks dating to the early 1900s. It is located within Galataport, a new waterfront revitalization project featuring museums, restaurants and boutiques in the harbor district of Karaköy. Nearby landmarks include Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.
With 177 rooms and suites spread among its four waterfront buildings, The Peninsula Istanbul will offer guests a range of accommodation choices; many will provide river views from large windows, balconies or private terraces, while others will include direct access to the property’s gardens, outdoor swimming pool, private boat dock and luxury boutiques. All will be decorated with bespoke furnishings, art, Turkish design elements like wood-and-mother-of-pearl inlay, kilim-style carpets and bathrooms clad in Marmara marble. The 5,490-square-foot Peninsula Suite will have its own hammam, gym, and rooftop swimming pool.
The Peninsula Istanbul will offer in-room amenities such as sustainable, custom bath products and multi-lingual touchscreen control panels; arts programs and cultural experiences; global proprietary services like Peninsula Time (check-in from 6 a.m. and check-out at 10 p.m.); and PenChat (access to a 24-hour digital concierge).
The Peninsula Istanbul will house a rooftop restaurant and bar serving Turk-Asian cuisine and libations. The hotel will also offer signature Peninsula Afternoon Tea and international cuisine at The Lobby restaurant.
The 18,030-square-foot Peninsula Spa and Wellness Center will offer hammams, an indoor swimming pool and a range of treatments that can be enjoyed in eight private treatment rooms. Physical fitness and mindfulness classes and workshops will be offered at the Fitness Center. A Wellness Portal provides in-room, round-the-clock access to wellness programs such as guided exercise routines, aromatherapy self-care rituals and audio meditations. The hotel will also have an 82-foot outdoor swimming pool, offering guests an outdoor dining option as well as private cabanas.
The hotel’s collection of event venues includes a grand ballroom that, when combined with its terrace, can accommodate 820 guests for a seated banquet and 1,300 for standing cocktails. There are two conference rooms, VIP private dining and wine-tasting areas, as well as several al fresco spaces overlooking the Bosphorus, all coupled with the latest technology.
Tip: Guests can enjoy an exclusive opening offer of $1,050 including complimentary daily breakfast for two; a $100 credit towards dining, spa and wellness; complimentary airport pick up for all suite reservations.
