Pennsylvania’s Nemacolin Resort Unveils Renovated Hotel, The Chateau

Nemacolin resort in the Laurel Highlands, PA, has unveiled its renovated hotel, The Chateau, set to reopen this summer. The transformation project also included Nightcap, PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor, Art Studios and Kids Club.

Guests arriving at The Chateau will notice the redesigned lobby with its marble fireplace. The Chateau’s 124 redesigned rooms include new wall, floor and window coverings; bathrooms with soaking tubs; and butler service with each reservation. The rooms continue to sport marble accents and chandeliers.

The fifth floor offers access to The Chateau Club Floor, which houses 17 rooms, including the 2,200-square-foot Presidential Suite. The adjacent Club Lounge offers breakfast, light bites, specialty teas and evening cocktails. Exclusively available to guests with rooms on the fifth floor, The Chateau Club Floor also has a private patio.

Guests will find the redesigned Lobby Bar in the space of the former tea room. This room is bathed in natural light and has a scalloped bar, where guest can enjoy signature cocktails. The Bleu Room offers traditional afternoon tea service. Guests can sample unique tea blends and light bites.

Nightcap is a new venue for craft cocktails, mocktails and cabaret entertainment. Guests can enjoy jazz and cabaret performances several evenings each week throughout the summer. Nightcap also offers a quiet sanctuary within the Salon, a room offering groups a space to enjoy the music as a standalone performance.

Additionally, the updated PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor sports baby blue hues accented with mosaic tile and colorful murals. The venue will offer a range of flavors and special treats, including sundaes and milkshakes.

The redesigned Art Studios houses artworks, ceramics and crafts. While the adults’ art studio is decked with rich materials and inspiring architecture, the children’s art studio allows exploration with crafts and playful architecture, and design activities.

Further, the Kids Club offers an arcade, pool and creative spaces. Walls intended to be drawn on, invite children to try their hand at all mediums. Highlights of the latest programming include Create Cafe for all ages, Kids Makerspace and Crafty Kids, Watercolor 101 and art collection tours across the property.
