Preferred Hotels & Resorts welcomed 10 properties to its global portfolio between January 1 and March 31, 2023. Ranging from a modern chalet-style resort in the Austrian Alps to a 39-story skyscraper in New York City’s NoMad district, these new members offer services and experiences to inspire summer 2023 travel plans. Here are the highlights:
Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol (Legend Collection) – Set in the Austrian Alps at 4,200 feet above sea level, Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol is a secluded chalet-style luxury resort offering 282 guestrooms with 32 suites. Rustic wood accents are accentuated with modern mountain lodge furnishings, while private balconies offer views overlooking nearby peaks and valleys. Guests can enjoy a range of experiences, including seven dining options; a holistic spa consisting of a panorama pool, Finnish sauna, infrared rooms, steam and saltwater baths; and a seasonal program of snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, mountain biking and more.
Virgin Hotels New York City (L.V.X. Collection) – Comprising an entire city block in the center of the NoMad neighborhood, this property is the newest addition to the Virgin Hotels collection. The 39-story hotel features 460 guestrooms, suites, and penthouses with floor-to-ceiling windows offering skyline views. Additional highlights include Everdene, a 4,000-square-foot dining and cocktail experience paired with nightly music and entertainment; an outdoor Pool Club exclusive to hotel guests; and more than 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Marino Beach Colombo (Connect Collection) – Located in Sri Lanka’s capital city, is hotel has 289 guestrooms, many of which benefit from sea views and private balconies. Additional highlights include a zero-edge, rooftop infinity pool with terrace and garden; six restaurants and bars serving a range of international cuisines and cocktails; an on-site spa; privileged access to the Beach Lounge; and a complimentary city tour available to all guests.
Hotel Villa Real (L.V.X Collection) – This hotel is surrounded by some of Madrid’s most important museums and landmarks, in a neighborhood known for its architecture. Its 115 guestrooms and suites have traditional furnishings and luxurious marble-clad baths; many also benefit from private balconies or terraces with city views. The hotel has a unique art and archeology collection with more than 100 pieces of ancient art on display throughout the property. Guests are invited to eat like a local at the hotel’s classic tapas bar and restaurant, East 47.
Other member properties that joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts from January 1 through March 31, 2023 include Hotel Balmes in Barcelona (Lifestyle Collection and Preferred Residences); Boho Club Marbella (Lifestyle Collection); Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais in Siena (Lifestyle Collection); Myriad by Sana in Lisbon (L.V.X Collection); and Hotel Beausite in Interlaken (L.V.X Collection).
