In recognition of the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt’s death, Pulitzer Amsterdam introduced a two-night cultural package centered around the Dutch artist’s life. The year-long promotion retraces Rembrandt’s steps and includes tickets to two museums featuring his works.
The Rembrandt package begins at the Pulitzer Amsterdam, where guests will learn about the connection between the artist and one of the hotel’s own canal houses. Next, the tour will move to Amsterdam’s famous canal district Jordaan, where they will spend an hour and a half touring the neighborhood that Rembrandt spent much of his life in. Guests will even visit his grave site at the famous Westerchurch.
Those participating in the promotion also receive tickets to two museums that showcase much of the artist’s works: the Rembrandt House, which holds an almost complete collection of the painter’s artwork; and the Rijksmuseum, a major Dutch museum that just began its ‘Year of the Rembrandt.’ When guests return to the hotel, they can head to the Pulitzer’s Bar and enjoy a complimentary Belshazzar’s Feast Punch cocktail.
Art enthusiasts can upgrade their trip with a two night’s stay in Pulitzer’s Art Collector’s Suite. Inspired by an art devotee who may have lived in the canal house during the 17th century, the suite’s walls are decorated with an enormous collection of art the hotel has gathered over the years.
