Urban Resort Concepts has opened The PuXuan Hotel and Spa in Beijing. The new property joins two of the hotel collection’s other locations, The PuLi Hotel and Spa in Shanghai and The PuShang Hotel and Spa in Xiamen, among the ranks of The Leading Hotels of the World.
The PuXuan Hotel and Spa, designed by the Shanghai-based firm MQ-studio, has 92 guestrooms and 24 suites. At The PuXuan Club guests have access to a fully serviced lounge, a fitness center and an assortment of indoor and outdoor venues for corporate and social gatherings. The hotel will also have an Urban Resort Concepts UR SPA with treatments that combine traditional Chinese medicine with French beauty.
Guests looking to see the city will have plenty of options with the hotel’s specially designed immersion tours. These half- and full-day programs focus on Beijing’s history, culture and gastronomy and consist of destination expert-guided tours through the city. Guests can wander the city’s maze-like hutongs, walk through the tree-lined Old Legation Quarter or tread the paths of old imperial scholars.
The hotel, in addition to a Tea Room and The Lobby Lounge, will offer two major culinary offerings: Rive Gauche and Fu Chun Ju. Serving unpretentious French classics, Executive Chef Ivan Miguez’s Rive Gauche will include a variety of dining, lounge, bar and outdoor spaces for visitors to choose from. Fu Chun Ju, led by Chef Waikit Yeung, will offer Cantonese dishes that have been interpreted in contemporary ways.
