Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa has reopened its gates, welcoming guests back to its 45 acres. The property, it says, debuted with the highest standards of responsible luxury in the industry and has ensured the safety and wellbeing of its employees and guests as its top priority. The resort has also launched a new enhanced wellness division with five full-time Wellness Ambassadors as part of the reopening.
A weekly class schedule is available, with more than 90 fitness, spin, TRX, yoga and meditation classes—all held outdoors. In addition, the resort’s spa is offering outdoor spa experiences with a curated treatment menu of facials and massages only. The resort’s tennis program is also available for guests as a safe, socially distanced activity.
Rancho Valencia has also expanded its outdoor programming to include increased al fresco dining options, outdoor fitness classes and spa services set in nature. The resort’s al fresco dining experiences have been updated to include socially distanced table arrangements across its hacienda-inspired Fountain Patio, Pony Room Patio and Croquet Lawn. The Pony Room, for example, offers market lights, cabanas, firepits, live music, signature cocktails and full dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The Pony Room is available by reservation only and is also available for Pony-To-Go orders for lunch and dinner.
All of the resort’s luxury casitas undergo enhanced cleaning protocols. In addition to every surface of the casita cleaned, all high-contact areas receive an intricate cleaning, following U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. For added peace of mind, each of the casitas are individually heated and cooled with its own dedicated HVAC system.
All staff and guests have a shared commitment in practicing social distancing, wearing facial coverings and following wellness guidelines while on-property. In addition, every guest and staff member is temperature-checked and screened for symptoms at the resort’s gates.
The Relais & Châteaux hotel is led by general manager Coni Thornburg.
