Regent Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with BIM, a Vietnamese property developer, to manage Regent Phu Quoc. The luxury hotel and residential development is located in the heart of Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island.
Regent Phu Quoc is set to open in 2019 and will bring Regent Hotels & Resorts’ global property portfolio to nine. It will also be the company’s third mixed-use development of hotel and luxury residences. Although it is only in the early stages of development, the property has already won the New Hotel Construction & Design Vietnam category at the 2017 Asia Pacific Property Awards.
The 400-room waterfront property will offer sea views, Michelin-starred dining, private beaches, spa, pool and gym. Each unit will be equipped with a Lake Villa, Beach, or Sky Villa that will include a private swimming pool,
Phu Quoc is located in the Gulf of Thailand, off the coast of Cambodia. More than 70 percent of the island is considered a national park and protected area, providing visitors with abundant natural landscapes, pristine beaches, and a tropical jungle, as well as access to a traditional fishing village. The property is located at Bai Truong, on the west coast of the island and is just a 10-minute drive from the airport.
Regent Hotel’s and Resorts have locations in Beijing, Berlin, Chongqing, Porto Montenegro, Taipei and Singapore as well as properties opening soon in Harbin and Jakarta. Regent Jakarta, set to open in 2018, has won four design awards at the Indonesia Property Awards.
