Throughout the pandemic, the Dorchester Collection has invested in a series of renovations, additions and new guest experiences. In Paris, Le Meurice and Hôtel Plaza Athénée have debuted completely redesigned guest suites, while in Los Angeles, The Beverly Hills Hotel recently unveiled a completely refreshed spa by Champalimaud.
Here’s what guests can expect:
Designers Lally & Berger “reimagined” 20 guest suites at Parisian grand dame Le Meurice. The new suites have stained glass windows from Ateliers Duchemin and flora-patterned wallpapers by Gournay, along with pastel-colored hues throughout. Design is inspired by the hotel’s location on the Tuileries Garden and its place in Parisian history.
Hôtel Plaza Athénée
Renowned for its geranium dotted façade, Hôtel Plaza Athénée has recently debuted 25 completely renovated Art Deco suites on the hotel’s seventh floor. Designed by Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille of Agence Moinard Bétaille, the new suites are light-flooded, and design details are reminiscent of the hotel’s legacy of being a mainstay for fashion icons. The suites are residential in feel and have a color palette of natural tones and pops of the Plaza’s signature red throughout.
In L.A., designer Alexandra Champalimaud has created a serene and elegant spa inspired by the flora and fauna of California, utilizing turquoises and gold tones. Champalimaud is the visionary behind The Beverly Hills Hotel’s iconic Hollywood royalty-inspired bungalows and hotel’s eponymous aesthetic. The new spa has four treatment rooms, a nail suite, relaxation room and locker room complete with steam showers.
The Beverly Hills Hotel
Previously announced, Dorchester Collection hotels in the U.K. are debuting new culinary venues and experiences this spring, including a first-ever rooftop bar at The Dorchester in London. Coworth Park will also be opening a new three-bedroom standalone cottage with a private driveway, lobby, dining room and kitchen.
