The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua appointed Andrew Rogers as general manager. He will be responsible for the oversight and function of all resort operations and serve as head executive to management and hotel staff.
Rogers comes from within the Marriott family, where he most recently served as multi-property vice president and general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing. In that role, he oversaw eight Marriott luxury brands in northern China, including The St. Regis, W and The Ritz-Carlton. With more than 20 years of hotel management experience in the industry, The Ritz-Carlton says Rogers is known for his expertise with hotel openings, leadership development and financial management. His industry career began with Marriott International in 1990 and he joined The Ritz-Carlton brand in 1999 as director of golf operations for The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort in Rose Hall, Jamaica. Following that, he held numerous senior leadership positions at various Ritz-Carlton properties, including serving as hotel manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
Located on Maui and set within the 22,000-acre Kapalua Resort, the AAA Five Diamond Resort offers 463 guestrooms, including 107 residential suites, six dining venues, indoor/outdoor meeting space, separate children's and adult's pools and cabanas. The Ritz-Carlton Spa also offers treatment rooms, private garden showers, volcanic stone grottos, a steam room, sauna and whirlpool therapies, outdoor cabanas, a fitness center and movement studio.
Rogers graduated with a Bachelor of Science marketing degree from Ferris State University and obtained an EMBA degree with Carlson Business School at the University of Minnesota, Sun Yet San University & Lignan College.
