The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay Unveils Newly Renovated Spa

The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay has unveiled renovations to its spa. Led by Hirsch Bedner Associates, the project includes redesigned lounge spaces, fully refreshed changing rooms, enhanced wet amenities and more. Guests can expect revamped water amenities, including a Himalayan Salt sauna, steam room, cold plunge bath and mineral whirlpool.

Each treatment room has in the spa been refreshed; a curated suite of new treatments has also been introduced for guests. The new treatments promote holistic well-being and supplement the existing massages, body wraps and facials on the spa menu. The new treatments include:

  • Vibrational Sound Therapy – This ancient modality harnesses the power of sound to relax and reset the nervous system. Offered by our certified sound practitioner, this therapy uses sound healing instruments to create tones, vibrations and frequencies that regulate the nervous system, enhance mental and emotional processing, and boost attention and concentration.
  • Intuitive Energy Healing – Certified Reiki-trained providers use healing touch to release emotional and physical stagnation within the body’s energy system. This meditative and calming technique induces deep relaxation.
  • CBD Ocean Escape – This all-natural treatment effectively decreases inflammation and balances the nervous system. The session includes a full body massage with CBD oil, a deep tissue foot massage with Targeted Relief Massage Cream, and Mindfulness Reflexology on the head and face.
  • Jin Shin Jyutsu – This is a Japanese hands-on healing art that harmonizes life-force energy by releasing blockages, aiding in nervous system regulation and energy balancing. It is particularly beneficial for pre- and post-surgery care. A certified practitioner offers personalized sessions for relaxation, balance and overall well-being.

Tip: Guests can reserve the “Resort Retreats” package, available until September 30. The package offers a $100 daily resort credit to be applied according to guests’ preferences for stays of three nights or more. Those seeking a return to their center can allocate the credit towards new spa treatments or refreshing meals following a day at the spa.
