The Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Peninsula Papagayo Has a New GM

Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica, has announced the appointment of Ana Gorjão Henriques as the property’s general manager.

When it opens in early 2025, Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will mark the brand’s first collection of resort and residences in Central and South America, and eighth in the Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio. The ocean-facing retreat is located in a 1,400-acre tropical forest along the northwestern province of Guanacaste.

Henriques, a 13-year veteran of The Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand, previously led Phulay Bay in Thailand and Mandapa in Bali. Prior to her appointment at Nekajui, she was general manager of Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico. Her leadership will inspire exceptional service and personalized guest experiences that honor the region’s cultural heritage and natural beauty. Henriques began her hospitality career in Portugal in 1991 and joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2005.

Overlooking Pochote Bay and surrounding islands, Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Peninsula Papagayo, offers an oceanfront collection of 107 guestrooms, suites, luxury tents and 36 residences. Peninsula Papagayo is just 45 minutes from Guanacaste Airport in Liberia (LIR), and approximately five hours from most major metro areas in the United States.
