The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach has reopened following a $90 million, multi-year renovation that touched all elements of the property. Located at the intersection of Collins Avenue and Lincoln Road, the hotel now sports a design scheme created by Meg Sharpe, who oversaw the lobby, the Lapidus Bar, restaurant, pool, club and spa, and Cristian Rubio, from design firm HBA, who was charged with updating the guestrooms and meeting spaces. Inspiration for the redesign came from Art Deco and Mimo styles, which are renowned in Miami.
Steps away from the lobby, the all-new Lapidus Bar is a classic cocktail lounge “honoring a bygone era of Miami” with live music and vintage cocktails. Fuego y Mar is the hotel’s new restaurant, led by executive chef Anthony LePape. Here, guests can enjoy Latin American flavors. Another option is the oceanfront DiLido Beach Club, an intimate dining enclave with plush seating.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa is absed around a holistic approach to wellness. Home to the only Timeless Capsule in the United States, this elliptical space is designed to condense spa treatments and is an ideal offering for time-restricted guests.
For club-level guests, the Club Lounge offers a dedicated concierge, bespoke experiences and complimentary culinary offerings throughout the day. Locally driven signature offerings will also be available to club guests and include empanadas, waffle pastelitos and more.
Each of the 376 guestrooms and suites now have “meticulously designed” furnishings and custom millwork. Enhanced soundproofing additionally ensures guests a restful night’s sleep.
The ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach totals 10,000 square feet and is supplemented by 11 separate meeting and event spaces.
