The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo announced the appointment of Yuji Tanaka as the property’s new general manager. Tanaka comes with 30 years of hotelier experience, the more recent of which as a general manager at other luxury properties.
Most recently Tanaka worked at the BVGARI Resort Bali, where he held the position of general manager since May 2016. Before Bali, he worked as general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto in 2013 in advance of its opening in 2014. In his new position at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo, Tanaka will oversee all the hotel’s management, operations and business development.

The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo is located in the heart of the Roppongi district, the city’s entertainment, diplomatic and design-related business center. The hotel occupies the top nine floors of the city’s tallest building, offering 360-degree views of the city. The location offers 247 guestrooms, a spa and seven food and beverage outlets.
The Ritz-Carlton Company currently operates over 100 hotels and more than 45 residential properties in 30 countries and territories. The hotel chain is owned by Marriott International and participates in Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest.
