Capella Singapore has hired Spanish-born Roman Angulo as the new hotel manager. Angulo will oversee the operations of the luxury resort, which features 112 guestrooms, besides 72 sea-facing suites and duplexes and nine manors at The Club Residences. He will report to Yngvar Stray, the property’s general manager.
Angulo has more than 20 years of experience specializing in hotel management. During his tenure in the hotel industry, he has held senior positions at luxury and lifestyle properties across Asia and Europe, including Four Seasons Beijing, Rosewood Hotel Beijing and Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. Most recently, he served as the hotel manager at Majestic Hotel & Spa, Barcelona, overseeing the operational direction of rooms and F&B divisions.
Angulo’s wealth of experience in the hospitality sector is a testament to the passion and vigor he has in creating the perfect stay, and this puts him in an ideal position to elevate Capella Singapore as the definitive urban resort.
“Capella Singapore offers beautiful and luxurious accommodations, world-class epicurean destinations and signature experiences. I am delighted to be joining such a diverse and driven team that are dedicated to the craft of hospitality and I look forward to bringing Capella Singapore to new heights in delivering bespoke experiences for its guests,” said Angulo.
Located within 30 acres of rainforest on Sentosa Island, Capella Singapore has cemented its position in the region over the past decade.
