The Rosewood Bermuda resort has announced plans for a $25 million renovation beginning January 2, 2018. The upgrade will include a redesign of the resort’s guestrooms, beach club, golf clubhouse and spa, as well as enhanced meeting space and new food and beverage outlets. The resort is set to reopen April 18.
The new designs will aim to reflect Bermuda’s history, culture, and sensibilities, following Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ “A Sense of Place” philosophy.
Reimagined Rooms
Rosewood Bermuda’s 92 guestrooms and suites will be redesigned to convey Bermuda’s indigenous culture and natural surroundings. The new rooms will have bespoke furniture, contemporary local art, hand-selected fabrics that reflect the area, and hand-crafted accessories that pay homage to the historical influences of the Bermudian culture and the natural scenery of the island.
New Culinary Experiences
The resort’s signature restaurant will reopen as the Island Brasserie, serving local Bermudian cuisine that combines the island’s culinary traditions with new-world flavors. Along with the restaurant, Tucker’s Bar will become a rum bar dedicated to teachings guests about the spirit’s significance to the island.
The all-new Conservatory Bar and Lounge will give guests a view of Castle Harbour as they enjoy hand-crafted British gin cocktails and spirits made with fresh herbs and house-made infusions. The space will have twin fireplaces, tile floors, and beamed ceilings, plus local art and Bermudian-inspired décor.
The redesigned Beach Club restaurant will provide a dining experience inspired by the fish markets of Bermuda. The updated ocean-front eatery will serve island-inspired cocktails and a menu of seasonal, locally-sourced seafood dishes.
Sul Verde, the Golf Clubhouse restaurant, will be redesigned to bring the rustic atmosphere of the southern Italian region of Campania to the fairways, offering a menu of authentic Italian ingredients. The Grille Room, located right next to Sul Verde, will also undergo a complete renovation.
Upgraded Venues
Locate on a private pink-sand beach, the renovated Beach Club will have an upgraded bar, new restaurant, cabanas, umbrellas, pool and beach furniture, and expanded luxury services and amenities. The Beach Club is ideal for seaside dining and relaxation.
Along with its redesigned Grille Room and modernized Sul Verde restaurant, the Golf Clubhouse will have new, state-of-the-art amenities, golf carts, and courses for an upgraded golfing experience.
Rosewood Bermuda will also introduce a modernized Sense, A Rosewood Spa and a new fitness center featuring Technogym equipment. To complement the renovation, the resort will unveil new fitness programs and spa treatments as well.
New Real Estate Offerings
As part of the renovation, Gencom, Rosewood Bermuda’s new owner, will unveil and sell fully renovated partial ownership units branded as the Tucker’s Point Private Residence Club. Gencom is also currently selling ocean front lots and lots oriented towards to golf course for luxury home development.
