Rosewood Bermuda has officially revealed a comprehensive, resort-wide renovation. Originally set for completion in April, the final stages of the $25 million renovations were unveiled last week, offering 88 updated guestrooms, a redesigned lobby with a new bar and lounge, an enhanced Beach Club, an upgraded Golf Clubhouse, reimagined dining outlets and a revitalized spa with new wellness and fitness offerings.
The resort’s redesign combines the island’s colonial English heritage with its native culture. The design of the guestrooms and suites, lobby and new lobby bar and lounge were led by Dawson Design Associates. London-based designer, Alexander Waterworth Interiors Ltd., was responsible for the redesign of the resort’s signature restaurant and bar, Beach Club and Golf Clubhouse.
Lobby
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the redesigned lobby. Rosewood Bermuda’s 88 guestrooms and suites have been transformed into residential-style retreats with bespoke furniture, contemporary local art and a soft color palate punctuated with azure blue accents.
The all-new Conservatory Bar and Lounge is a space where guests and locals alike can enjoy hand-crafted British gin cocktails and spirits enhanced by fresh herbs, house-made infusions and new mixology techniques. With its twin fireplaces, black and white hand-painted tile floor and beamed ceilings, the new bar is a fusion of both old and new design. Showcasing local art, casual décor and relaxed service, the bar is complemented by the new courtyard, which brings a rustic accent to the space.
New Culinary Concepts and Cocktail Destinations
Rosewood Bermuda’s existing culinary venues have been re-conceptualized to provide new dining experiences that use local ingredients and offer Bermudian-inspired cuisine:
- The resort’s signature restaurant reopens as the Island Brasserie, an informal space serving island comfort food. The adjacent Tucker’s Bar has transformed into a rum bar dedicated to teaching guests about the history of the island’s signature spirit.
- Inspired by Bermuda’s fish markets, the reimagined Beach Club restaurant serves island-inspired cocktails and a menu of fresh, locally-sourced seafood dishes.
- Sul Verde, the Golf Clubhouse restaurant, offers an authentic Italian menu. The Grille Room has also undergone a full refresh.
Elevated Beach Club
The Beach Club, located on Bermuda’s largest private, pink sand beach, has been redesigned and upgraded. In addition to the reimagined Beach Club restaurant, enhancements include new cabanas, umbrellas, pool and beach furniture, and expanded luxury services and amenities.
Golf and Tennis
The Golf Clubhouse offers updated décor and amenities that offer new golfing experiences for guests. In partnership with Cliff Drysdale Tennis, a renowned tennis management company, Rosewood Bermuda is launching a comprehensive new tennis program. Under a dedicated Cliff Drysdale trained tennis director, Cliff Drysdale’s signature tennis programs, leagues, and events will be offered to guests and members.
New Heath & Wellness Experiences
Rosewood Bermuda now offers a modernized 12,000 square-foot Sense, A Rosewood Spa, complete with new spa treatments inspired by the island. Additionally, an upgraded fitness center with new Technogym equipment offers a variety of new fitness programs.
The new spa is also now home to one of the first Deborah Lippmann Nail Salons in the world, offering a signature Deborah Lippmann treatment that incorporates her style and techniques for promoting nail health and proper nail care. Lippmann has also created an exclusive Rosewood Bermuda nail polish inspired by the resort and Bermuda’s pink sand beaches.
New Children’s Program
To complement the refreshed kid’s club and children’s pool, Rosewood Bermuda introduces Rosewood Explorers, a new children’s program designed to inspire creativity and a passion for learning through a series of workshops, classes and events.
AERIN Amenities
To complement the resort’s physical transformation, a partnership with AERIN, the luxury lifestyle brand created by Aerin Lauder, has been introduced to enhance the guest experience. Through the partnership, the Rosewood Bermuda now offers AERIN’s first-ever hotel amenity line. The exclusive amenity line, called Coral Palm, has six products; a shampoo, conditioner, body bar and facial bar, body wash and moisturizing body cream.
New Real Estate Offerings
In addition to the renovation, Tucker’s Point Real Estate is selling fully renovated fractional ownership units branded as the Tucker’s Point Private Residence Club, including ocean front lots and lots oriented towards the golf course for luxury home development.
