Families traveling to Puebla, Mexico, this summer can make use of Rosewood Puebla’s recently announced summer deal. The hotel’s summer package, available for guests staying at least two nights, includes free meals for two children 11 and younger at any of the hotel’s restaurants, 50 percent off a second room and a continental breakfast for two at Café Azul Talavera.
The history and culture of Puebla provide plenty of learning experiences for visiting families. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, the town is known for its colorful Cinco de Mayo celebrations and ceramics. Puebla is home to 2,600 historic sites and over 365 churches and is located near two significant Mexican archaeological sites at Cantona and Cholula.
Puebla, home of one of Mexico’s national dishes mole poblano, is also a center of Mexican cuisine. The area’s traditional food, such as chiles in walnut sauce and chalupas, is mixed with modern European cuisine at Rosweood Puebla’s restaurants.
Pasquinel Bistrot combines Mexican cuisine with the French bistro to create an interactive open kitchen restaurant. Café Azul Talavera offers customers small plates, salad and simple entrees with a casual atmosphere.
Bar Los Lavaderos serves fine liquors and rare spirits within view of traditional stone washing basins. Guests can take in the volcanos of Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl from the hotel’s Rooftop Bar. Here diners can eat Mexican tapas and local charcuterie while drinking margaritas and artisanal cocktails.
