Rosewood Washington, D.C. recently unveiled six new townhouses as the final component of the property’s recent renovation. Built in the 1700s with modern interiors by locally based residential designer Thomas Pheasant, the accommodations offer a new guest experience.
Located directly adjacent to the hotel along a tree-lined street, the six townhouses provide access to the capital city’s attractions, while offering the utmost in privacy. Each four-story, one-bedroom accommodation is approximately 1,100 square feet in size. Upon arrival through a private entrance, guests are greeted by a living area adorned with a functioning fireplace. On the second story, a fully equipped kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances by SMEG, Williams Sonoma, Kitchen-Aid and Nespresso, and a communal dining area provide direct access to a private, furnished back patio. Ascending one floor further, a master bedroom has Rivolta Carmignani linens and a separate dressing station, while the top story has a three-piece master bathroom with a deep-soaking tub, walk-in rainforest shower and heated marble floors. A lower level additionally has a separate bathroom and washer and dryer.
Interior design work includes traditional molding and intricate marble- and stonework. The neutral color palette of pale platinum tones is complemented by splashes of green and blue. The townhouses also have their own curated art collections featuring local artists and subjects from the surrounding area.
Special privileges and à la carte programming available to guests include in-room spa services, chef-cooked meals and a fully stocked kitchen and bar reflecting visitors’ personal preferences. Additional services include 24-hour in-room dining, access to the property’s gym and rooftop pool and unlimited use of Rosewood’s bespoke bicycles.
The unveiling of the townhouses marks the completion of the property’s larger scale renovation, which earlier introduced new dining concepts by Wolfgang Puck, including CUT D.C. and CUT Above, a rooftop lounge. The renovation further included a redesign to the property’s lobby and library.
