When the Sani Resort reopens for the season in April, it will show off a brand new tennis center built in partnership with Spanish legend Rafael (Rafa) Nadal. The Sani Resort—which is home to five five-star hotels on Greece’s Kassandra peninsula (one of the three beach-lined peninsulas of Halkidiki)—is already renowned for its recreational activities. There’s a water ski academy, splash pool, sailing trips, treetop adventure park for kids, bike club, scuba diving and even Chelsea FCF football coaching. In short, all kinds of fun in the sun, sand and sea.
Now the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center has been added to the list. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to fine-tune their skills at the brand new facility, which offers programs based on the 15 years of experience of the Grand Slam-winning champion. Expert coaches use the same training methods that catapulted Nadal to the top: Technical and physical preparation along with personal and mental training. (The team of certified coaches all completed an exhaustive training at the Rafa Nadal Training Academy in Mallorca.)
Programs are individually personalized to enhance your strengths and focus on improving weaknesses (strengthen your serve, polish your backhand). Put your new skills to the test on the courts, as tennis tournaments will take place throughout the season. The tennis center has eight clay courts and an outdoor lounge, which will be open fro 8 am to 10 pm, April through October. Open to resort guests, residents, and area visitors.
