Savannah is already a dreamy place to visit (oozing Southern charm), but soon there will be another reason to go back to Georgia. Come spring 2018, the Perry Lane Hotel will open in the city’s Historic District. Part of the Luxury Collection, the property will take its architectural cues from a historic Savannah mansion, while at the same time offering elegant, modern guestrooms (167 in total) with all the contemporary comforts. In-room amenities include oversized windows, sprawling bathrooms, local artwork and all the latest technology.
Note that some rooms are kitted out with bar carts. (Scarlet O’Hara cocktail, anyone?) Note that the Corner King rooms will have lovely views of the historic city from large corner windows. Among the 12 suites, there will be a special bridal suite for those tying the knot. (Planning your big day? The hotel will offer 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces for a festive event. There’s even a glass-enclosed ballroom perched on the rooftop.)
Food will be a big focus. The Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market will serve up house-made charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, freshly baked breads and pastries, gourmet sandwiches, moules frites, and other fine locally sourced items. Brunch and happy hour? Yes please. Two watering holes will draw imbibers for craft cocktails: The Wayward Bar and the Peregrin Rooftop Bar. Did we mention the rooftop pool?
We don’t yet have an exact opening date for the Perry Lane Hotel but a preliminary search showed earliest availability in July.
