Sam Nazarian’s SBE Entertainment Group continues to expand its empire of hotels and trendy restaurants with the opening of Hyde Hotel & Residences Midtown Miami. With the Redbury, SLS and Morgans (which was acquired in late 2016), SBE has established a reputation for popular luxury lifestyle brands.
The Hyde Hotel is a partnership between SBE, The Related Group and Elysee investments. SBE and Related have already collaborated on SLS Brickell and SLS LUX Brickell, and they have an additional 20 joint projects in the pipeline, encompassing international destinations like Mexico and Argentina. This is the second Hyde hotel in South Florida after the Hyde Hollywood Resort & Residences.
The 32-story building was designed by the Arquitectonica architecture firm, and includes 410 luxury condominiums. Tapped to design the interiors, The Rockwell Group took cues from the city’s happening art and design scene. The double-height lobby is said to be inspired by the art galleries in the surrounding Design District. You’ll also find lots of contemporary art showcased throughout the property. The hotel’s 60 guest rooms, designed with split layouts, come with kitchens.
Entertainment is always a key SBE focus and Hyde is no exception; after all, Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences is an extension of sbe’s Hyde nightlife brand. The rooftop on the seventh floor, planted with lush gardens, aims to be an urban hot spot with an infinity pool, outdoor bar/restaurant, not to mention the tennis, bocce courts and putting green.
Nice perk: Hotel guests can get a ride (in the Lincoln house car) to SLS Lux and SLS Brickell. Guests also have access to Delano Beach Club.
