Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina is collaborating with area real estate broker Coldwell Banker BVI to offer five new luxury villas for purchase. These offerings range from two to six bedrooms and from 3,000 to more than 6,000 square feet of space.
The grandest villa in the collection, located at a high altitude, is The Spinnaker House. This six-bedroom, six-bath estate is listed for $5 million and features southward Caribbean views across the channel to Marina Cay and Tortola.
The Drake House is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom villa overlooking Sir Francis Drake Channel, Marina Cay and Tortola. The Drake House will be ready for occupancy in July and is listed for $4.5 million. The other villa in the four-bedroom collection, The Reef House, is listed for $4 million and overlooks one of the largest reefs of Scrub Island.
Two three-bedroom villas—The Shoreline House and The Leeward House—are available for a more intimate stay. The tucked-away Leeward House offers views of North Beach during the day and stargazing by night. The Leeward House is offered at $3.6 million and will make its debut later in 2019. The Shoreline House, incorporating the award-winning Ixora Spa, will also be unveiled later in 2019 and is priced at $3.5 million.
Amenities within each luxury villa include large balconies and terraces as well as Subzero and Wolf appliances, enclosed rain showers and infinity-edge or plunge pools. Dark woods and light walls mark-up the interior of the accommodations to convey a British West Indies inspiration.
The villas also feature local artwork, custom furnishings, king-size beds with luxury linens, bamboo ceiling fans, flat panel televisions and large sliding windows and doors. Each bathroom features natural stone flooring, granite-top twin-vanity, rainforest showerhead, water closet and a soaking tub. Exteriors are based on the British Colonial-style with hints of Caribbean flair in a village-inspired setting.
Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, is one of several hotels that reopened in the Caribbean last year. It had closed in 2017 due to Hurricane Irma. Two-bedroom Marina Village condominiums and vacant lots are also available for purchase on Scrub Island.
