The Loren at Pink Beach, a Bermuda hotel, appointed Sebastien Maingourd as its new general manager. Maingourd, most recently serving as the general manager of The William Vale Hotel, will now oversee departmental management, sales and marketing, staff hiring and the guest experience.
Maingourd joined The Loren with over twenty years of management experience at luxury hotels and resorts. He received his diploma in hospitality management from École Hôtelière de Paris and his MBA in international hospitality management from Cornell-ESSEC Business School.
The Loren’s new general manager started out as the assistant restaurant manager at Hotel Sofitel Minneapolis in 2000. Since then, he has worked assistant general manager at Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, the food and beverage manager at The Como Melbourne and at The Loft KL in Kuala Lumpur and the outlets manager at Hotel Sofitel Los Angeles.
Maingourd filled the top management position at a number of hotels in his career. This include Hotel Christopher Villas & Spas in the French West Indies and Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa.
Most recently at The William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, he worked as the property’s opening general manager. Here, Maingourd led branding, public relations strategy, sales and marketing, revenue management, finance and operations.
