Despite the global uncertainty currently, The Set Hotels feels that there are brighter days ahead for the travel and hospitality industry. One such positive note is that The Set Hotels has launched its own Internet Booking Engine (IBE) in partnership with Sabre and launched a unique GDS chain code. The Set Hotels has already made a seamless switch to the IBE with no disruption for its industry partners and hotel guests, Luxury Travel Advisor was told in an email.
The new permanent GDS chain code for The Set Hotels will be implemented in March 2021 and until this time, The Set Hotels is currently bookable under the Sabre chain code “YX.” This applies to the three founding members of The Set Hotels, comprising Hôtel Lutetia in Paris, Hotel Café Royal in London and the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, as well as Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem, which is part of the same ownership. An announcement with an implementation date of The Set’s permanent GDS chain code will follow shortly, we’re told.
In addition, The Set has parted company with The Leading Hotels of the World, a longstanding partner of, “to whom we are very grateful for the collaboration over the years.”
The Set Hotels’ commercial team has a global presence; as it takes these next steps forward, The Set says it remains committed to continuing to strengthen brand partnerships with American Express Travel & Lifestyle Services, Ensemble Travel Group, Grand Luxury Hotels, Internova Travel Group, Signature Travel Network, Traveller Made and Virtuoso.
