Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo has partnered with Krug Champagnes to create the exclusive Krug Suite experience. The suite, available until December 29, offers guests a one-night stay in the hotel’s Presidential Suite as well as a six-course dinner created by executive chef Andrea Ferrero.
The six course meal includes four premium champagne pairings of Krug Grande Cuvée, Krug Clos Du Mesnil, Krug Vintage 2002 and Krug Ro. The dinner itself features iced cauliflower fondant with caviar and Wagyu beef sushi with dry white truffle as hors d’oeuvres, lamb loin with roasted root vegetables with five spice as a main course, and Iwate farm cream ice cream followed by a chocolate and meringue sphere with caramelized bananas for dessert.
The offer also includes an in-suite champagne breakfast and access to the hotel’s exclusive Horizon Club Lounge.
Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo houses 200 rooms and opened in 2009. It is located on the top 11 floors of the 37-floor Marunouchi Trust Tower Main building located near Tokyo Station.
Guests can choose to dine in the hotel’s facilities include Piacere, serving Italian cuisine, as well as its offshoot Tapas by Piacere; Nadaman, which serves authentic Japanese kaiseki fare; and The Lobby Lounge.
CHI, the hotel’s spa, uses ancient Chinese healing techniques in its six treatment rooms. It was the first CHI to open in Japan according the hotel.
Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo was named “The World’s Best Hotel in the World” in the 2012 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.
The package costs 1.2M JPY (approximately $10,727) and includes two guests. For an additional couple, guests can expand the dining offer for 60,000 JPY (approximately $536) per additional guest, up to eight people.
