Big news from the Emerald Isle: The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin has been awarded membership to Virtuoso, becoming just the fourth hotel in Dublin to do so. Located in a nearly two-hundred-year-old building in Dublin’s city center, The Shelbourne has 265 bedrooms, an on-site spa, four restaurants and bars, views overlooking St. Stephen's Green, and is steps away from many local landmarks.
The first phase of a multimillion-euro refurbishment by Guy Oliver, principal designer and owner of London-based Oliver Laws, was completed in 2017, and included enhancements to the hotel's Heritage Suites, Heritage Park View Rooms and the Grand Staircase, as well as a restoration of the hotel's façade. The second phase of the renovation is set to be unveiled this spring, with a full renovation of the Lord Mayor's Lounge, enhancements to the first-floor meeting room spaces, and the launch of a new bar and adjoining terrace.
To celebrate the refurbishments, The Shelbourne is offering A Suite Stay Package that includes accommodations in one of the Heritage Suites, plus champagne and strawberries upon arrival and dinner for two at the hotel’s restaurant, The Saddle Room. The package is valid through May 31.
Virtuoso comprises over 375 agency members with more than 9,800 travel advisors in 31 countries throughout North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
