Kempinski Hotels was founded in Berlin in 1897 and is considered Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, with an international portfolio that is 78 properties strong. Now, the hospitality company will be adding another hotel in Asia—its second in the Thai capital—with the May debut of the Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Developed as a luxury lifestyle hotel focused on wellness, the property is located in the newly developed Sindhorn Village in the Langsuan neighborhood, next to Lumphini Park, the largest green space in Bangkok. The hotel is the second partnership between Kempinski and Siam Sindhorn Company Limited.
Surrounded by tropical gardens, Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok will have 285 guestrooms starting at 710 square feet, billed as the “largest lead-in room category” in the city. The design will pay homage to Thai culture, and each room will come with a dining table, private balcony and bathroom with bath and separate shower.
A focal point of the hotel will be the expansive wellness and fitness facilities, sprawling across more than 43,000 square feet. Sindhorn Wellness by Resense will offer 26 treatment rooms and a thermal circuit comprising saunas, a cold chamber, aromatic steam room, Rasul mud room and a tepidarium lounge for relaxing while taking in views over Bangkok. The 80-foot saltwater swimming pool will also overlook the city skyline. State-of-the-art fitness facilities will include a Pilates studio, live and visual cycle studio, and rooms for high-intensity classes.
This wellness focus continues in the kitchen with a healthy, superfood-packed menu at Flow, where chef Eric Lecras will show off his signature, plant-based cuisine. Other dining outlets will include the Lobby Lounge for afternoon tea; Flourish, for international food with garden views; and the Firefly Bar. Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok will also have flexible event space including outdoor spots for cocktail receptions.
