Six Senses Maxwell, the sister property of Six Senses Duxton, is scheduled to open on December 1, 2018. The new location is the second of two heritage buildings that together form Six Senses Singapore.
Six Senses Maxwell is housed in a colonial-style 19th-century heritage building that has received the Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage Award. French architect and designer Jacques Garcia led the redesign, giving it a more European influence while paying homage to its storied past. Once completed, the property will provide 138 rooms, an 82-foot rooftop lap pool, gymnasium, and five food and beverage options.
The Rose Lounge & Bar features banquette seating, club chairs, cocktail tables and bar seating, and offers champagne, white and rosé wines, spritzers and the signature Rose Bellini. Spirits bar Garcha's serves a collection of spirits, including small batch and artisanal whisky, tequila, gin, rum and vodka. Guests can also order and receive drinks from an after-dinner drinks trolley.
Six Senses Maxwell will offer a variety of new neighborhood experiences, such as the MacRitchie Treetops Walk, Botanic Gardens Exploration Tour, Civic District Discovery Walk, and a Black & White Iconic Heritage Homes Tour. These come in addition to the offerings at Six Senses Duxton, which include complimentary Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations, yoga and local heritage tours.
