Six Senses Kocataş Mansions, Istanbul, which offers far reaching views over the Bosphorus, has debuted a new three-level spa. Elevated above the resort and blending into the natural greenery, Six Senses Spa Kocataş Mansions is located in a restored 100-year-old stone house. Using natural materials from the original setting, the 16,145-square-foot spa has been constructed in an eco-friendly manner. It also incorporates artifacts from Ottoman palatial collections to pay homage to the city’s past.
Within this oasis away from the city, there are five treatment rooms, three hammams, two steam rooms, two saunas, an open-plan relaxation area and retail boutique, along with a Holistic Anti-Aging Center, Pilates studio, Alchemy Bar and Nail Bar. A locally inspired, multi-layered mix of treatments are on offer including massages, facials, rituals, and hair, body, and beauty treatments. In addition, the spa has partnered with French skincare specialist Biologique Recherche to supply treatments and Subtle Energies for Ayurvedic aromatherapy rituals.

One of the main highlights is the Turkish hammam experience administered by local hammam experts. The interior design of the hammams is also unique as each offers a spacious lounge and a decorative glass panel design to let in a sprinkle of daylight and a peek of the Bosphorus, making it the perfect setting for bridal hammams or any other large gatherings.
Inspired by the tiles of Blue Mosque, the walls of treatment rooms are designed with blue tiles to celebrate Turkish culture, completed with red line details to give the walls a natural, authentic, and smooth finish.
Six Senses Kocataş Mansions, Istanbul marks a new milestone for the brand as it combines the Six Senses ethos of sustainability, wellness and local sensitivity with Turkish heritage and culture. Even the uniforms for the spa hosts are 100 percent sustainable. The resort has partnered with local designer EzraTuba, known for sustainable, circular and ethical fashion in Turkey.
The infinity pool with a Bosphorus view, a bar serving refreshing juices and the fitness center facilities will be added by Spring 2022.
