sbe has announced the opening of SLS Hotel South Beach, the company's first East Coast property. The hotel consists of 130 guest rooms and ten villas, designed by Philippe Starck. The hotel design is based on a "dream world" theme, with bold whites and pinks and a blend of Latin, Asian, contemporary, and art deco influences. Lenny Kravitz and Kravitz Design, Inc. took creative control of the Tower Penthouse and Villa Penthouse, which are designed with warm and eclectic elements such as Cyprus wood, Thassos marble, leather, mirrors, and metals.
For upscale dining, The Bazaar by Jose Andres is onsite, offering a blend of local flavors and Spanish style. Guests can also check out Katsuya by Starck, where Japanese cuisine and sushi are on the menu, along with fine sake. The Dragon Lounge is located upstairs for a sampling of Stark's mixology.
No need to leave the hotel in search of nightlife, with Hyde Beach onsite, an oceanfront 8,000 square foot indoor and outdoor lounge with two pools. Guests can hang out with a cocktail inside a cabana while indulging in a poolside manicure or pedicure.
In addition, guests will receive 24-hour in-room dining by Chef Jose Andres, in-room connectivity, and in-room iPads with a customized SLS Hotel South Beach application for making dinner reservations and more. There is also a smartphone application available, GoSLSHotel.com, for immediate service requests.
In celebration of the grand opening, SLS is offering the “Start Living Sexy” package available June 7 through October 31, 2012.
