As the world slowly prepares to restart travel, particularly to domestic destinations, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) welcomes five new member hotels—two in the U.S., plus Mexico, Brazil and Costa Rica.
Here are the new additions:
Riverview Ranch, Montana (Eight rooms)
A private ranch property in the Western Montana region, Riverview Ranch offers abundant wildlife, white-water rafting and trout fishing in two private lakes and the Clark Fork River. Guests can enjoy a host of activities at the ranch from arena lessons and paddle board yoga to cattle driving, pole bending and river floating. The ranch can also arrange a Polaris Ranger tour for guests to discover Montana’s wildlife, including osprey, eagles, red-tailed hawks, elks, white tail deer and big horn sheep.
Cougar Ridge, Utah (Eight rooms)
Cougar Ridge is one of the most remote and scenic regions of the country. The resort is located about two hour’s drive from Salt Lake City or Las Vegas airports. Located in the heart of the Utah national park area, the property has easy access to Capital Reef, Bryce and Zion National Park. The luxury ranch resort offers an assortment of activities ranging from horseback riding for all ability levels, rodeo activities, photography, painting, wood and rock carving, beer and winemaking, night sky parties and viewing, guided national park adventures, to hunting and trout fishing in private streams.
Tip: Cougar Ridge is a mini working ranch—feel free to get your hands dirty and experience the life of a farmhand, from feeding the animals, cleaning the shed to driving the tractor. There is also a Game Room in the basement of the lodge that you can rent out for a night of fun—it comes with a bar, golf simulator and a two-lane bowling alley.
Brick Hotel, Mexico City (17 rooms)
The history of The Brick Hotel is etched into the lobby floor, with the original tiles from England still in place. Now, it has been brought firmly up to date offering sleek suites, where guests can lounge in the sun overlooking the city. Be sure to visit Terraza95, Hotel Brick´s open space, to enjoy a laid-back ambiance, cool music and a view of the famed La Roma district.

Located on Brazil’s northeastern coast, 18 miles south of Maceió, Kenoa Beach Spa Resort is an eco-friendly resort set on the white sands of the Barra de São Miguel beach. The preservation of natural fauna, the use of local stones in replacement of industrial materials and solar energy heating the water are only a few of the eco-friendly efforts. The hotel’s spa offers a Japanese ofuro bath and soothing rituals and massages using different spices. The hotel can arrange a host of experiences for guests to explore the Maceió region, including a canoe visit to an oyster nursery where travelers can taste fresh oysters in the middle of a lagoon and visit the village where oyster and honey producers live in Taipa houses.
