Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) announced it has added seven hotels in the Americas and Europe to its portfolio this January. The collection now comprises over 500 hotels in 80-plus countries.
Americas
The Adelphi Hotel – Saratoga Springs, New York State
After a revitalization, the hotel how has an eclectic and modern ambiance. There are 32 guestrooms that overlook the landscaped gardens and historic Broadway Avenue. Guests can enjoy both modern and traditional cuisine at the hotel’s restaurants, The Blue Hen and Salt & Char.
SLH Insider Tip: Get a sense of Saratoga’s notorious wheeling and dealing past with a local beer, craft cocktail or fine wine in Morrissey’s, named after prize fighter, gangster, senator and stateman John Morrisey. He gave up the ghost while sitting at the old Adelphi Hotel bar.
American Trade Hotel – Panama City, Panama
This Art Deco hotel offers twin balconies in is Esquina category guestrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows with 180-degree views from the top floor from its Panorama rooms. Good to know: there is also a rooftop pool overlooking Casco Viejo. The Dining Room has seasonal menus that mix European influences with Central American favorites. The hotel is also home to Danilo’s Jazz Club, a 50-seat venue that hosts a mix of international artists and local talent.
SLH Insider Tip: Book a Jardin room to be able to enjoy a siesta in the hammock of your own private courtyard.
Sailrock Resort – South Caicos, Turks & Caicos
Set on a white-sand beach on a “practically untouched island” is Sailrock Resort. The Ridgetop Suites Villas overlook the ocean, and the Beachfront Villa has its own private pool and large outdoor terrace. The Na Spa has open-air treatment rooms, with a signature salt scrub inspired by the island’s natural salt ponds. The hotel can also organize kayaking, sport fishing, kite surfing or scuba diving.
SLH Insider Tip: Visit the old salt pans, which have become an ideal habitat for numerous bird species, and spot flocks of West Indian flamingos.
Europe
Nobu Hotel Marbella – Marbella, Spain (Opening March 29, 2018)
The adults-only hotel, located on the Golden Mile that links Marbella’s old town to Puerto Banus, has an exclusive Nobu beach, a secluded swimming pool, sunset DJ sessions and Nobu’s signature dishes (presided over by Nobu’s first female head chef). Guests receive priority access to Nobu restaurant.

Le Narcisse Blanc Hotel & Spa – Paris, France
The 37 room Le Narcisse Blanc Hotel & Spa, situated in the 7th Arrondissement, was inspired by ballet dancer Cleo de Merode. The rooms are paneled in white wood with hints of gold and rose; windows and terraces overlook courtyards and Parisian streets—and some of suites offer views of the city’s landmarks. The hotel’s spa has an indoor counter-current swimming pool, hammam and sauna, and Carita treatments. Canadian chef, Zachary Gaviller presides at Cleo restaurant serving contemporary organic cuisine.
SLH Insider Tip: The Aurore Suite has a private roof terrace from which guests can watch the sun rise over Paris.
Hotel Aquas de Ibiza Lifestyle & Spa – Ibiza, Spain
Hotel Aguas de Ibiza, a 112-room boutique hotel that combines contemporary style with a sustainable ethos, has sleek, white walls paired with stone and wood. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens, terraces and three outdoor swimming pools. Mediterranean cuisine is available at the three hotel restaurants. Good to know: two Michelin-starred chef Sergi Arola heads Vi Cool, a rooftop cocktail and tapas restaurant. The hotel offers numerous activities/amenities such as paddle board yoga a day and the Revival Spa by Clarins.
SLH Insider Tip: Santa Eulalia has earned it reputation as the gastronomic centre of the island, head to the sophisticated marina for dinner and drinks among the super yachts.
Villa Eden The Leading Park Retreat – Merano, Italy
Located just outside of Merano, Villa Eden puts a focus on the health and wellbeing, whether it be a relaxing trip or a more immersive retreat. There is a dedicated team of spa therapists and medical professionals can help to plan bespoke programs focused on guests’ specific health and wellbeing goals. There is also a pool with Alpine views, yoga classes and bikes available to explore the countryside and town. The restaurant features dishes from South Tyrol with an option for tailored nutrition plans.
