Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection has announced the appointment of Donald Stamets as its new general manager. In his new position, Stamets will oversee all operations of the 89-room resort, including the acclaimed Solbar restaurant and award-winning Spa Solage.
Most recently, he oversaw properties in Amelia Island, Orlando, Bedford Springs, Hilton Head and Jacksonville, where he led a team of five general managers to drive revenue and customer engagement scores. Stamets also held top management positions at luxury properties such as Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, The Ritz-Carlton in Palm Beach, South Beach and Orlando, FL.
Solage says that Stamets will focus on continuing the momentum for Calistoga as a top California wine country destination, along with elevating Solage as the premier resort in the destination.
We’re told Stamets is a self-proclaimed foodie and grill master, which made choosing the idyllic Napa Valley as his next home an easy choice.
Stamets graduated Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management and currently resides in Yountville.
Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection has 89 environmentally conscious studios, each with complimentary cruiser bicycles, and a 130-foot swimming pool. Solbar offers a “living menu,” with items that are guided by the seasons. The Spa Solage has 20,000 square feet of space with 14 treatment rooms, a bathhouse, state-of-the-art gym and a yoga and movement studio with complimentary daily fitness classes.
