Soneva has teamed up with international wellness enterprise Organic India to launch the first-ever “SOUL Festival” in the Maldives from September 29 through October 8, 2023. The festival focusing on health and well-being will be held at the luxury resort Soneva Fushi, located within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Each weekend, the festival will include a program of panel discussions with health and wellness leaders, group yoga and meditation classes, healing rituals, live music performances and barefoot gala celebrations on the sand. Weekdays will focus on a more immersive well-being journey for guests, with experiential workshops and one-on-one consultations with wellness specialists and practitioners. Dining experiences will be curated to support guests’ wellness goals, with an emphasis on plant-based cuisine and adaptogenic foods. in between sessions, guests can enjoy activities from zip-lining through the rainforest and dining in the treetops, to snorkeling with marine biologists and swimming with manta rays or escaping to a private sandbank to watch the sunset.
“SOUL Festival” will highlight speakers including psychologist, scientist and social entrepreneur Shamini Jain; gastroenterologist, neuroscientist and author of “The Mind Gut Connection,” Dr. Emeran Mayer; clinical psychologist and mindfulness expert Shauna Shapiro; author Bruce Lipton; journalist and author Jo Marchant; American director, producer and cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg; author and founder of Bio Blends, Dr. Libby Weaver; science journalist Gaia Vince; and ayurvedic doctor and author Dr. Robert Svoboda.
Soneva is offering a package for festival attendees, which includes two festival tickets and full access to the entire program, with accommodations in a private villa and daily full-board at select dining outlets. Proceeds from the festival will go to the Soneva Foundation and Organic India Foundation to support the development of projects that have a positive environmental, social and economic impact.
