Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat, located in the foothills of South Africa’s Cederberg Mountains, just opened its newest accommodations, the Cederberg House. Overlooking the peaceful Boontjies River, the villa can host up to four guests.
The secluded house, intended of families or groups of friends, offers two large master suites, each with its own outdoor shower, a fully stocked bar, a dining room and living space. The villa also includes a private terrace and pool. The designers decorated the villa with artwork from South African artists, such as Esias Bosch, Gabriel de Jongh, Walter Battiss and Tinus de Jongh.
Guests staying at the Cederberg House will also have access to a private guide and vehicle to help them explore and learn about the location’s open plains, sandstone formations, wildlife and 10,000-year-old rock art sites. For preserving 130 of these ancient San rock art sites, the location has been awarded African Natural Heritage Site status.
Cederberg House can also be booked with the nearby Riverside Supreme Suite, together accommodating a total group of six guests. Visitors with larger groups can reserve Koro Lodge, a private, fully-catered villa that can host up to 10 guests.
Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat is a member of Red Carnation Hotels and is located a three-hour drive from Cape Town. Visitors to South Africa can also visit the location’s sister property in Camps Bay, the five-star Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa.
