The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort has announced the opening of La Gourmandise, a French-inspired lounge situated in the newly expanded Lobby Lounge. La Gourmandise loosely translates to an “unrestrained enjoyment of fine foods, wines and the like." The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, all featuring signature pastries and food by Executive Chef Franck Steigerwald.
La Gourmandise is the focal point for the afternoon tea ritual that has long been a part of the St. Regis brand. Unique to The St. Regis Bal Harbour, afternoon tea and treats are served on a handcrafted birdcage display that is suspended adjacent to the table.
“We are proud to introduce La Gourmandise to our guests,” said Oliver Key, general manager of The St. Regis Bal Harbour. “Chef Franck Steigerwald and our culinary team have thoughtfully created a menu that is truly inspired. The La Gourmandise experience is one that is rooted in French technique and artistry, and will continue the legacy of this destination as the best address in Miami for area residents and resort guests alike.”
The menu at La Gourmandise offers classic French fare and treats like eclairs, croissants, macarons and bonbons. Guests can also sip on champagne and wine offerings or choose from Miami’s largest tea selection. The resort will also host a resident cake designer for those looking for hand-crafted dessert for any special occasion.
The Lobby Lounge will also be home to two upscale retail spaces, Dewitt Watches and Vhernier Jewelry offering a selection of hand crafted watches and contemporary Italian jewelry, respectively.
