The St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai. Located along the Dubai Water Canal, the property is minutes away from the city’s popular landmarks such as The Dubai Mall, and a short drive from Dubai Design District, and the International Financial Centre.
The hotel’s décor and contemporary interiors are accentuated by bespoke elements, including two glass chandeliers and gold chains in the lobby that are inspired by the jewelry found in Dubai’s Gold Souk. The lobby has lounge areas lit by a fireplace and artwork inspired by Dubai’s skyline reflecting onto the Dubai Water Canal. The corridors and gathering spaces are adorned with a collection of contemporary art.
The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai has 298 guestrooms and suites overlooking landmarks such as the Dubai Water Canal and the Burj Khalifa. The guestrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, large open bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and coral-inspired wall sculptures. All guestrooms and suites offer signature butler service providing round-the-clock service.
At The Library, guests can enjoy a locally inspired take on the signature St. Regis Afternoon Tea. The Italian restaurant Basta! blends the food and feel of a Roman trattoria, Florentine steakhouse and Neapolitan pizzeria. Inspired by the South of France, authentic French flavors are combined with a relaxed continental style at Bleu Blanc Oysters & Grill. At the St. Regis Bar, guests can socialize and enjoy a modern take on the Bloody Mary cocktail, which was first created at The St. Regis New York’s King Cole Bar in 1934. The bar features a mirrored mural embellished by starry lights stretching across the ceiling, depicting the glittering stars at night seen from the Arabian Desert. Besides, there’s a poolside bar that offers views of Downtown Dubai’s skyline and the Dubai Water Canal.
As is the ritual among all St. Regis properties around the world, The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai will also mark the transition from day to night with celebratory champagne sabering at 7 p.m.
The St. Regis Spa offers six treatment suites and offers bespoke treatments including Flotation Therapy in a pod and a 24-karat gold age-defying facial, in addition to a traditional Arabian hammam. Each spa treatment is accompanied by an additional 30-minute sensory experience to relax in the in-suite infused steam room or sauna. Guests can work out at the gym or head for the outdoor infinity pool overlooking the Dubai Water Canal.
The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai will debut the Astor Ballroom in March 2022 with 6,070 square feet of event space. The floor-to-ceiling windows will allow for natural daylight and guests can enjoy city views on the outdoor terrace. The ballroom will also feature an outdoor bar space, lounge seating and an open fireplace. The hotel’s seven multi-purpose and flexible meeting rooms are all equipped with modern technology.
