Looking to enjoy the latest luxury in St. Lucia? Two out of the five planned ultra-luxe Beachfront Collection Residences at Sugar Beach are now open and available to book. These two four-bedroom homes—now the highest room category at Sugar Beach—have private access to Glenconner Beach, one of the resort’s two beaches, as well as other Sugar Beach amenities such as personalized butler service and access to the Rainforest Spa.
Designed by British architects Michaelis Boyd using all-natural materials, The Beachfront Collection have a sleek, modern aesthetic and several water features. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors connect the living and dining rooms with the exterior terraces and pool areas; rafters have been left exposed, creating double-height living areas.
The remaining three Beachfront Collection properties are available to purchase, ranging from $8.25 to $15 million; these are built as they are purchased, so they are not yet scheduled for construction. Rates start at around $5,000 per night.
Also going on at Sugar Beach is the Gout de France, a celebration of French cuisine spanning five continents and involving over 1,000 chefs. The event, taking place on March 21, is spearheaded by chef Alain Ducasse and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development. Sugar Beach’s executive chef Jacques Chretien, a native of the Loire Valley, has devised a special tasting menu with wine pairings for guests; part of the proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the Bouton Combined School resource center building project, allowing guests to opportunity to sample great food while also supporting the local community.
