As summer nears, and with fall not far behind, Peninsula is hosting an array of events at various properties across the globe. Here’s the latest:
The Peninsula Beijing
On May 31, The Peninsula Beijing completes its top-to-bottom renovation to become the only all-suite hotel in the city. The renovation reduced the hotel’s room count by more than 50 percent to create Beijing’s largest rooms. In a major commitment to contemporary Chinese art, the hotel will introduce Beijing’s first artist residency with a purpose-built rooftop studio and guestroom, with artwork by the executive director of Beijing’s Museum of Contemporary Art exhibited in the hotel’s gallery.
As part of the new Keys to the City program, The Peninsula Beijing introduces a line-up of guests-only experiences such as access to unrestored, tourist-free areas of The Great Wall of China and the Temple of Heaven.
The Peninsula Hong Kong
The Peninsula Hong Kong invites guests ages six and over to participate in a Wushu training experience with a Shaolin Master, who will demonstrate the ancient martial art and train them on the basic skills. This trip takes guests to the Shaolin Wushu Culture Centre in Tai O fishing village on the northwest tip of Lantau Island, known as the “Venice of Hong Kong,” followed by tour and authentic dining experience at a local Shanghainese restaurant.
The Peninsula Tokyo
Gearing up for its 10th anniversary this fall, The Peninsula Tokyo will launch a virtual reality flight simulator experience starting mid-June where guests can operate a life-size Boeing777-300ER Flight Simulator, one of only 20 in the world. An exclusive flight has been designed for this Peninsula Academy activity in which guests take-off from Haneda Airport and fly over iconic Tokyo landmarks such as Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Sky Tree and Tokyo Disneyland.
Additionally, for its anniversary, The Peninsula Tokyo will host The Peninsula Tokyo Rally Nippon. The event brings 160 drivers and passengers on a four-day journey from Kyoto to Tokyo in vintage cars. The 620-mile journey comes with luxury accommodations, meals and visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Peninsula Paris
With four Garden Suites, The Peninsula Paris invites guests to experience summer in style with exclusive dining on a private terrace. Guests can enjoy a private picnic lunch or choose from American, Oriental or Mediterranean BBQ menus.
The “Garden Spring” promotion offers up to 25 percent off the best available rate, along with additional perks such as complimentary round-trip airport transfers or a 50-minute aromatherapy treatment and 30-minute balneotherapy treatment.
The Peninsula New York
The Peninsula New York introduces a private dining experience at its Sun Terrace rooftop overlooking 5th Avenue. Guests and locals can choose from a variety of three-course menus with seasonal ingredients grown from the gardens surrounding them. This option is only available through September.
Additionally, children at both The Peninsula New York and Chicago can partake in the Camp Peninsula program. These offers include a special rate for conjoining rooms, an in-room tent for kids, hotel scavenger hunt, picnic lunch, and other activities.
