The Summit Hotel in Madisonville (a neighborhood in Cincinnati) has joined the portfolio of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Preferred Hotels & Resorts represents more than 750 hotels, resorts, residences and unique hotel groups across 85 countries. The Summit is the only member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts in Cincinnati and only the second hotel in Ohio affiliated with the premier independent hotel group.
The Summit opened in the historic and vibrant Madisonville neighborhood in 2018. Originally a doorbell factory, then a rainbow-hued parking garage, the property then opened as a contemporary hotel with a nine-story atrium, library, rooftop terrace, art gallery and 239 suites.
AT Hospitality Group will manage the hotel property. The private development group oversees The Summit and Madison Square, a mixed-use development currently under construction that will have an international food hall, outdoor theater, dog park and independent dining and shopping.
AT Hospitality Group also announced new executive leaders as part of the transition. Martin Pittman, previously general manager of The Summit, is now AT Hospitality Group’s vice president of operations. In his new role, Pittman is responsible functional oversight of operations, finance and human resources, as well as future acquisitions and oversight of The Summit.
Previously The Summit’s director of sales and marketing, Denise Bayless is now AT Hospitality Group’s regional director of sales and marketing. Bayless is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for The Summit and will help lead positioning of AT Hospitality Group’s future developments, including lodging, food and beverage venues and entertainment districts.
In joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the hotel makes it departure from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
