The Indian Hotels Company Limited's iconic brand, Taj Hotels, has opened its second hotel in Udaipur, India—Taj Aravali Resort & Spa. Nestled at the foothills of the Aravali Mountain Range, the resort is spread across 27 acres of landscaped gardens.
The resort has 92 rooms, suites and luxury tents with views of the Aravalis. The design is contemporary with a mix of traditional Rajasthani influences. Décor elements such as the gokhra—a low seating area by the window—and furnishings inspired by Mewar’s world-class equestrian heritage bring local flavor to a minimalist luxury ethos. Top digs? The Luxury Glass Box Two Bedroom Suite Panorama View; thr 2,900-square-foot room has separate dining and living areas, an attached butler pantry, a small gym, a spa treatment bed and a private terrace and an outdoor fire place seating overlooking the Aravali mountains.
Guests have a choice of several culinary options, which include an all-day diner, Tiri; a specialty vegetarian restaurant, Javitri; an al fresco grill, Ridgeview; and a bar, Odeypore Lounge. It also houses the award-winning Jiva Spa spread over 15,000 square feet with 11 treatment rooms.
Additionally, the hotel has extensive recreation facilities, such as squash, badminton, basketball and tennis courts, a gymnasium and a state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator. It even has its own 34-seater movie theatre.
The hotel is located an hour away from Maharana Pratap Airport.
