The trillion-dollar global wellness industry is shifting from experiential wellness to holistic well-being. At the award-winning Jiva Spas, wellness journeys incorporate this trend by offering ancient Indian healing treatments, Ayurveda therapies, yoga, meditation, nutrition and beauty treatments. Taj is bringing this spa experience to two new locations: Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Taj hotels in London.
Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans, which opened last year, has a signature Sand Bath treatment where guests immerse themselves in the natural minerals of the sea and sand to ease away tension and stress. At Taj's hotels in London (St. James' Court and Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences), guests can experience the collaboration between Jiva Spa and the British lifestyle brand, Temple Spa via treatments including Sushupti—a sleep and skin therapy—or a Champagne and Truffle Deluxe facial.
Other Taj properties also have Jiva Spas. Guests can tread down a trail beginning in the city of Bangalore at Taj West End, and then experience a Ventoz treatment at Jiva Spa: The ancient Indian therapy of using heat in a glass to create a vacuum is designed to relieve knots and soothes sore muscles.
Heading west to the coast, Taj Bekal Resort & Spa, Kerala offers a private area where guests can experience an array of treatments from a personalized spa menu. Guide into an afternoon that begins with a Kerala massage and ends with a traditional Sadya lunch on a banana leaf.
Moving inland and climbing up into the rainforests, travelers will discover Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg. The hotel offers a 14-day immersive wellness journey with treatments including the Gudda Bath, curated healthy menus and guided meditations.
