Tatvani Thailand, an "ultra-private" estate in Chiang Rai, has opened its doors to welcome guests. Located just 25 minutes from Chiang Rai International Airport, Tatvani offers access to 29 acres of manicured grounds, nine individually designed guestrooms across six villas and a team of over 30 to deliver a personalized, all-inclusive stay. The estate is available for just one booking at a time, and can accommodate up to 18 guests.
Top tip: The property’s connection to nature and culture is brought to life through its nearby elephant sanctuary and the herd of water buffalo that inhabit the estate. At the Tatvani Elephant Sanctuary, guests can spend unlimited time with a herd of orphaned elephants that roam around freely. The whole experience, Tatvani says, is grounded in "compassion and ethical stewardship."
Tatvani Thailand has six villas that blend modern architecture with Thai heritage via indoor-outdoor layouts. Guests are offered personalized services by a team that includes chefs, drivers, massage therapists and more. Facilities include a farm-to-table restaurant, a nearly 100-foot heated outdoor pool, ponds teeming with koi, a Kids Club, fitness center, multiple garden pavilions and the private Tatvani Spa.

On-site activities include cooking classes, nature walks, wild water swimming, rice planting and more. From family-friendly adventures to wellness escapes, bespoke itineraries are curated for every guest. Off-site activities include golf at a Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed championship course, treks with local Lisu tribesmen around the Doi Chang mountain, and visits to the White Temple, Chiang Rai night markets, Hall of Opium, and the Black House Museum.
Good to know: Tatvani follows zero-waste principles, and sustainable practices include on-site organic gardens, the implementation of a rainwater harvesting system, tree-planting with every booking and refillable amenities in every villa, besides the absence of single-use plastics, to name a few.
