Thompson Seattle, an Olson Kundig-designed lifestyle boutique hotel in downtown Seattle, has launched two new 1,000-square-foot Penthouse Suites. The suites, located at the top of the 12-story glass lantern structure, offer views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. They are equipped with a king bedroom, living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchens, plus a washer/dryer, spa-like bathrooms, original artwork and exclusive guest experiences. The suites will be unveiled just as the property welcomes the summer season with a fully refreshed Nest, a rooftop bar & lounge.
The interiors of the new Penthouse Suites, designed by Seattle-based Haus + Home, are complemented with art curated by Julianne Johnson and Austin Hicks of XO Seattle, including works by local Seattle street photographer Akin Olugbade, original acrylic on canvas by Ariel Parrow, Zachary Schomberg & Sean Hamilton, and a nod to the Seattle music scene with gig posters by Carlos Ruiz alongside mixed media by Julianne Johnson.
Each open-air living room has a 65-inch Smart LED TV, sofas by Of Iron and Oak and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. The kitchen has top-line appliances, lighting fixtures and finishes, along with a dining room where one can entertain a few guests for happy hour or a custom-catered dinner for two with Executive Chef Chris Ingmire.
Each suite’s master king bedroom has luxury bedding with 400 thread count SFERRA linens. The suite bathrooms include spacious walk-in showers (one has a deep soaking tub), exclusive D.S. & Durga bath toiletries, plush robes and hair dryers.
Additional amenities will include a full service kitchen stocked with Wolf gas range and oven, Sub Zero fridge, dishwasher, tableware, glassware, flatware and cookware from Made In Cookware, a built-in wine refrigerator, coffeemaker, hand steamer and crib upon request.
