With international clients returning, three hotels in the South of France have come up with new offerings. These include Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo, Terre Blanche in Provence and Hotel Byblos in Saint-Tropez.
Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco (not France) is a luxurious Belle Époque-style property. Located in the Carré d'Or and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Palace has announced that its "Just For You" experiences will launch two new initiatives for guests, including a partnership with shoemaker Berluti and a local portrait artist David Djiango. Also included will be green initiatives to raise sustainability awareness among younger generations. The hotel's Spa Metropole by Givenchy will also unveil a new treatment and a full yoga retreat will be available for guests to book from June.
Designed by Jacques Garcia, the hotel is also home to Yoshi, the only Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant on the Riviera; and Odyssey with the famous mural designed by Karl Lagerfeld.
Terre Blanche is a 750-acre eco-luxury oasis in the heart of Provence. The property’s restaurant Le Faventia will reopen for the summer season with a range of new dishes while newly appointed head pastry chef Jérémie Gressier will add new offerings to various outlets.
This spring, the hotel's bespoke experiences, "Provençal Pursuits," will offer new additions—including a cooking masterclass in Terre Blanche herb garden and a private perfumery experience at a UNESCO world heritage site. Terre Blanche has also announced new eco-initiatives to add to its existing protections and will partner with local eco-charity GERES for Earth Day, donating a proportion of profits from new vegan dishes at Le Gaudina restaurant to the charity.
Terre Blanche is an escape for those wanting to unwind and enjoy outdoor activities, spa and golf in Provence. It is in proximity to St Cassien lake, Grasse and the famous Provencal lavender fields.
With its reopening on April 14, Hotel Byblos will offer new rooms with larger spaces, creating an apartment-like feel for international guests looking to stay longer in their Tropezian residence. With the launch of Arcadia restaurant last year and a new team of chefs, new menus will define the outlet’s latest concept; and fun exclusive products through partnerships have been added to the hotel’s e-boutique.
Lebanese businessman Jean-Prosper Gay-Para built the Byblos in 1967. A family-owned five-star luxury "Palace," it features a beach club since 2019, especially known for its cuisine; and nightclub Les Caves du Roy (claimed to be one of the oldest nightclubs worldwide).
