Viceroy Los Cabos has resumed operations and is welcoming back guests once again. With a focus on safety and wellbeing, guests have full access to the 194 accommodations, five dining experiences, spa treatments, community give-back programs and more. Prior to reopening, Viceroy enhanced its “Promise of Cleanliness Program,” an action plan grounded in the commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of guests, colleagues and the local community.
Guests of Viceroy Los Cabos can enjoy their own space on the Sea of Cortez in one of the resort’s waterside casitas or villas. Each one-, two- or three-bedroom casita and four-bedroom villa has modern furnishings, neutral colors and a design that maximizes ocean views. Guests can enjoy a large living space with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private rooftop terrace, complete with a private pool, grill and outdoor dining and lounge area. Further, each casita and villa comes with a dedicated Lifestyle Assistant to tend to guest needs.
Available facilities include the resort’s five open-air dining venues, including the rooftop bar, and the 11,000-square-foot. Upon entering the property, guests will be greeted by the “Tree of Life” mural, which will be an evolving art piece in collaboration with local Mexican artists as part of the resort’s new Artist in Residence Program. In addition to their contribution to the Tree of Life mural, each artist will be invited to stay on property and showcase their own work in a pop-up art gallery. Launching in November, the rotating art gallery will be a way for the resort to continue to support the local community and for guests to enjoy a more interactive experience with each artist, learning more about their work and life in Mexico. If they so desire, guests can also purchase an art piece.
To deliver on “Promise of Cleanliness Program,” the resort’s general manager and health and hygiene ambassador lead a safety committee program responsible for training, implementation and compliance. The new program and safety policies address everything from disinfecting luggage handles upon arrival, minimal contact check-in and checkout, to furniture layout to promote physical distancing, and frequent disinfectant of high-touch surfaces, among other measures.
In addition to the “Promise of Cleanliness,” Viceroy Hotels & Resorts has introduced a “Contribution Without Compromise” initiative—a program designed to support and show Viceroy’s gratitude to the local healthcare workers who have been affected by the crisis and working on the front lines to ensure the health and safety of their communities. In support of this initiative, for every room booked directly with Viceroy Los Cabos, the resort will allocate a 50 percent-off discounted room to a local healthcare worker from the nearby H+ Hospital in San José del Cabo and St. Luke’s Medical Hospital in Cabo San Lucas.
