Vik Retreats has announced the reopening of Galleria Vik Milano. The hotel only first opened its doors in late 2019. Located within the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of Italy’s most iconic landmarks, Galleria Vik Milano offers views onto the Galleria and its infamous bull. The property’s opening comes simultaneous to Milan reopening its doors.
The hotel has implemented contactless check-in and checkout for guests, will ensure that rooms have been vacant for at least 48 hours before arrival, and extensive housekeeping will only take place prior to arrival and following departure as part of new practices that have been implemented.
The hotel’s Experience Concierge team is available to assist in tailoring each stay, promising a seamless visit. Guests are within steps of Milan’s business center, La Scala opera house and other landmarks, boutiques and high-end retailers, as well as many of the top restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops in the city.
As with all Vik Retreats, art, architecture and design play a central role at Galleria Vik Milano. With its recent comprehensive redesign and renovation, the hotel unveiled interiors highlighting artists to celebrate the history and culture of Milan. Upon entering the reception, guests are welcomed by Auguste Rodin’s famed bronze sculpture, The Thinker, as well an immersive dry fresco covering the ceiling and walls by Italian artist, Alex Folla. There is also an extensive collection of international art and a mix of curated contemporary, midcentury, vintage and antique furniture. Each hallway has a variety of art, some fully covering the walls.
Galleria Vik Milano has 89 unique rooms and suites. The suites include many installations by Italian, Uruguayan and international artists.
