Oetker Collection has announced that The Vineta Hotel, its first property in the United States, is slated to open in Palm Beach next autumn. The hotel is just two blocks off Worth Avenue—a landmark destination known for its designer boutiques, art galleries and restaurants—and mere minutes away from the beach.
Paying homage to the hotel’s legacy, Oetker Collection is bringing back the Vineta name that it held for over 50 years, heralding a new chapter in the building’s nearly 100-year history. With its pale-pink façade, it is a "quintessential example" of Mediterranean Revival architecture for which Palm Beach is known. The landmark building will be restored and reborn as The Vineta Hotel following a top-to-toe renovation led by Paris-based interior designer Tino Zervudachi.
The Vineta Hotel’s dining and social spaces will offer a mix of four distinct environments. Following a full transformation, the former Leopard Lounge will become the new gathering place of choice in Palm Beach for laid-back lunches and buzzy dinners. Against a backdrop of flowering vines and palms, the courtyard will transform into an al fresco dining destination. Plans also include a bar and a Mediterranean-inspired indoor/outdoor poolside restaurant.
“This is a monumental moment in the brand’s history as we announce our first Masterpiece Hotel in the United States. Many of our existing guests have long visited or are residents of Palm Beach, and we therefore look forward to extending Oetker Collection’s unique hospitality ethos based on our values of family spirit, elegance and genuine kindness, to this wonderful town with The Vineta Hotel,” said Timo Gruenert, CEO of Oetker Collection in a press statement.
